We’re thrilled to announce that the upcoming version of Sakura Hall will jump from v0.1.3 to v0.2.3!
This update is packed with significant changes, as it consolidates all the additional features and updates planned for previous versions. The delay was due to technical challenges faced by our team, but we're excited to share the latest improvements!
Here are the changes and updates in the new version:MAJOR CHANGES:
Genre Update: Chapter 1’s genre has been updated to Mystery and Romance, shifting from the previous Harem, RomCom School theme.
Revised Intro and Opening: Expect slight adjustments to the opening scene for a better start to your journey.
New Game Engine: The game has been transitioned from Ren’py to the Unity Game Engine.
Reconstructed Main Storyline: The story has been adjusted to provide a more cohesive and engaging narrative.
Smartphone Feature: Players now have a smartphone, which can be used to:
Open World Exploration: You can now freely explore the world of Sakura Hall.
Six locations are available to visit via the in-game map.
Currencies and Stats Introduction:
Interrogation Mechanics: Once you grow close enough to a character, you can interrogate them. Their details will be added to your address book.
Part-Time Jobs: Players can now take up part-time jobs to earn money.
Self-Stats System: Check your personal stats via the address book:
- INT (Intelligence): Unlocks more topics to discuss with characters.
- STR (Strength): Enhances your physique and attracts more characters.
- POP (Popularity): Increases chances of characters approaching you.
- AFF (Affection): Tracks how much affection a character has for you.
- CHA (Charisma): Boosts interrogation skills and haggling abilities.
- DEX (Dexterity): Improves earnings from part-time jobs.
NSFW/Adult Scenes Toggle:
A special prompt appears during adult scenes, allowing players to focus on the main storyline or proceed with the NSFW content.
Blocking NSFW scenes will disable their inclusion in the gallery. This setting can be adjusted in the game settings.
New Job Locations: There are now four different locations where players can find part-time jobs, each offering varying pay rates.
Extended Main Storyline: The first gameplay now allows you to choose your own path, shaping your experience.
In this version, five unique storyline paths have been added. Each path focuses on a specific character but ultimately leads to the main storyline.
First Route: Minori & Aqua (Unlocked after starting a New Game)
Second Route: Kisara (Requires completing the First Route)
Third Route: Konoha (Requires completing the Second Route)
Fourth Route: Ayu (Requires completing the Third Route)
Fifth Route: ??? (Requires completing the Fourth Route)
Main Route: The Childhood Friend (Requires all routes to be completed)

We apologize for the delay—recent challenges, including changes in the game engine and a reduction in team size from 13 to 6 members, have slowed us down.
The release date for this version is still undecided, but we’re happy to report that it’s approximately 88% complete.
We’re also exploring options to expand our games to the Google Play Store for Android users.
